Mend Pattern Tears Quickly

I mend tears in frequently used tissue-paper patterns by ironing patches of waxed paper onto the underside of the pattern. First, I tack the patch in place with the top of the iron. Then I cover the patch with a piece of paper and firmly iron on the patch. Waxed paper does not distort the pattern like cellophane or masking tape, and it can be removed and adjusted easily. And get this … it’s practically free.
